FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Everything about entering, voting, and winning the weekly launch tournament.
- How does the tournament work?
- Each week, submitted products are seeded into a single-elimination bracket and matched up 1v1. The community votes on each matchup; the vote leader advances. Votes reset between rounds, and the final is decided at the end of the week.
- What does the winner get?
- A homepage feature and an editorial DR 55+ dofollow backlink. That link passes real ranking signal — unlike the nofollow badges most directories hand out. Top-three finishers may also earn an editorial dofollow, case by case.
- Why are the other product links nofollow?
- User-submitted links are nofollow by default — that keeps the link graph honest and keeps Lirkaff out of spam territory. The dofollow is a prize you win by topping the bracket, not a default everyone receives.
- How much does it cost to enter?
- Entering is free. There's an optional $29 Premium listing with extra placement, but a free entry competes for the same votes and the same prize. The community decides the winner either way.
- Can I rally my audience to vote?
- Yes — that's the intended game. Share your matchup with your email list, community, and followers. What's not allowed is bots, fake accounts, or vote-buying; that's grounds for disqualification.
- How do I get in?
- Submit your product through the launch flow. It's seeded into the next available bracket, and you'll get a link to your matchups to share.
